Comparing and Measuring the Effectiveness of Specific Web Sites

Below are the video of screen activities that have been performed in this assignment for the third trial. We think that all the three systems provided enough information for user and make the booking operation simpler.

The main criteria we evaluate is efficiency, usability, learnability and recoverability of the system . But, all this criteria has subjective perspective.

Majority of our opinion is the best web page for flight system is MALAYSIA AIRLINES SYSTEM. This is because the system is easy to understand for first time user. The web page layout is standardized into certain format. Then, any process occur from the user selection will be informed into another web page. Thats how the user know the process in the system.

This screen video recording software is also a very good software. After installed, the interface easily guide the user how to use it. Just click on the START button and the software will record entire activities on the screen. Using this software, we can see the different between user movement based of the cursor and sound. Such as typing, clicking and so on. We think everyone should try it.

Basically, this blog will consist all of our assignments and projects of SCV 1023- Human Computer Interaction. Human–computer interaction (HCI) is the study of interaction between people (users) and computers. It is often regarded as the intersection of computer science, behavioral sciences, design and several other fields of study. Interaction between users and computers occurs at the user interface (or simply interface), which includes both software and hardware , for example, general-purpose computer peripherals and large-scale mechanical systems, such as aircraft and power plants.

In a simple word,

"Human-computer interaction is a discipline concerned with the design, evaluation and implementation of interactive computing systems for human use and with the study of major phenomena surrounding them."

HCI is also sometimes referred to as man–machine interaction (MMI) or computer–human interaction (CHI). A basic goal of HCI is to improve the interactions between users and computers by making computers more usable and receptive to the user's needs.

We will upload every assignments of HCI and you're mostly welcome to drop some comments as an evaluation of our assignments. We will reply back every each of the comments and hopefully our perfomance in HCI will increase. See you in the next post! =)
